How Mikhail Klochkov was tried?
Detention and trial of the student Belarussian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (friend of the “Belarusian Students’ Association“, member of the Belarusian National Youth Council “RADA”)
Judge: Shabunya V.V. (Шабуня В.В.)
Today in the Central Court of Minsk there was a trial of a student of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and our good friend Misha Klochkov (20 years old). He was detained on September 13 at the “March of Heroes”, badly beaten during detention, after which he was brought to the Central police department of Minsk.
Misha was sentenced under Part 1 of Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus (participation in a mass unauthorized event) – 10 days.
What happened at the trial?
The time of the trial began to be known in 40 minutes. There was no opportunity to have a lawyer present.
The trial was online, via Skype. Those present were not able to see Misha and his physical condition.
Misha has admitted his guilt about participating in the rally. The judge said that he was judged to have participated in the march (as recorded in the protocol).
A witness, a police officer (no one knows), was also present online. The judge explained that due to pressure on the officers and threats against their families, all identification data of witnesses will be encrypted. The witness was wearing a mask and introduced himself as Ivan Ivanov Ivanov (set of words). When asked “where, how and at what time was Mikhail Klochkov seen?” he answered that it was a long time ago and he does not remember. When asked “remember how I was dressed”, he also answered that I do not remember.
Misha stated that he was beaten by officers of the Central Police Department who tried to access his phone and telegram data. According to him, the officers took him into the corridor and shot him down until he fainted. After that, at 22:00 (he was detained at 17:50), his Telegram account was marked in the “online” mode.
