International activities of RADA

On 3 December 2021, a meeting was held between representatives of the Eastern Partnership and the Swedish NGO partners with Svetlana Tihanovskaya. 

The purpose of the meeting was to get an update on the work of the Council and to ask Tihanovska and her team questions on issues concerning young people.

Representatives of the Belarusian National Youth Council “RADA” also took part in the meeting, together with the Swedish National Council LSU.

The International Secretary, Lavon Marozau, proposed to Svetlana Tihanovskaya and members of the Coordinating Council of Belarus to continue cooperation in the field of advocacy and protection of the rights of Belarusian youth in Belarus and internationally, including work with the support of the Swedish partners to support young political prisoners. 

We recall that the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe was held on 2 and 3 December in Stockholm.

The week before, Secretary General Anna Dapshevishute, International Secretary Lavon Marozau and Policy Officer Zmitzer Herylovich of the Belarusian National Youth Council RADA had working meetings with Ann Linde, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Per Olsson Fridh, Minister for International Development Cooperation of Sweden, Anders Lindholm, Permanent Representative of Sweden at European level, and Evin Incir, member of the European Parliament from Sweden.
