“RADA” resolution adopted at the General Assembly of the European Youth Forum
On 7-8 November 2025, hundreds of young people gathered at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland for the General Assembly of the European Youth Forum. The Forum is the largest platform for youth organisations in Europe. “RADA” took part as a full member of the European Youth Forum.
Our representatives — Aleksandra Dojnicz (Board Member of “RADA”) and Yulia Ralko (International Secretary of “RADA”) — participated in the Assembly, joining representatives of other European youth councils in practising democracy through in-depth discussions on issues that directly impact young people across Europe. The meeting resulted in the adoption of a record number of 13 motions, shaping the collective stance of the European youth movement on key challenges.

“RADA” is proud that the General Assembly adopted two motions in whose development we were actively involved.
- Motion “The protection of youth rights and support of young political prisoners of Belarus” — Adopted
Submitted by: Belarusian National Youth Council “RADA”, Finnish National Youth Council and Youth Sector (FYCS), National Youth Council of Ukraine (NYCUkraine), National Youth Council of Moldova (CNTM).
Co-signed by: Romanian National Youth Council (CTR), Cyprus Youth Council (CYC).
“Unfortunately, repression against Belarusian youth continues, and the issue has not lost its urgency. We updated the text, added relevant data and context. The motion was first submitted in 2023 and expired; now it has been adopted again almost unanimously, just like its first version,”
Aleksandra and Yulia, “RADA” representatives, noted.
The European Youth Forum calls on decision-makers to:
- Reaffirm the distinction between Belarusian democratic civil society and the illegitimate Belarusian regime.
- Increase political pressure on the regime, including visa restrictions and targeted sanctions, and demand the immediate and unconditional release of political prisoners.
- Consult with independent Belarusian youth NGOs and develop an advocacy plan for the rights of young political prisoners.
- Provide support for the rehabilitation and reintegration of political prisoners upon release — including trauma-informed medical and psychological support, education, vocational training, and assistance in rebuilding their lives.
- Strengthen monitoring and reporting on human rights violations in Belarus, with a particular focus on young people and political prisoners.

“RADA” sincerely thanks all co-signers and co-submitters for your continued support! Your solidarity means a great deal to Belarusian youth and to our entire civil society.
- Motion “There is no sustainable peace without youth — including youth in peacebuilding and protecting young advocates” — Adopted
Submitted by: Finnish National Youth Council and Youth Sector (FYCS), Belarusian National Youth Council (“RADA”), National Youth Council of Ukraine (NYCU).
Co-signed by: JEF Europe, Youth Council of Latvia (LJP), British Youth Council (BYC), Cyprus Youth Council (CYC).
The submitters and co-signers emphasise that there is no future without youth participation, young activists, and young advocates. In times of crisis, we must come together and listen to the people, communities, and minorities around us. To build a continent — and a world — where everyone can live in peaceful and equal societies, we must ensure that all voices are included: from the youngest to the oldest, and from one corner of Europe to the other.

The General Assembly was also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our European partners and the representatives of our prominent NordicBalticEastern Block (NBEC). We deeply value the strong partnerships and solidarity shown by our colleagues across Europe. “RADA” looks forward to deepening these partnerships and creating new opportunities that empower Belarusian youth and strengthen their role in democratic life.
